College of DuPage is seeking a full-time individual to be responsible for the management and supervision of the Basic Police Training Program. This program is a 440 contact hour course involving both classroom and practical instructional modules. The Manager is responsible for direct supervision of over 75 program personnel, course development, validation and articulation, internal and external reporting. Responsibilities also include maintaining student specific relations with customer police departments and the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board. Additional duties include the management of the credit first aid and CPR training/certification for the Illinois Department of Corrections personnel.
A Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field with 7+ years as a law enforcement officer including 3 years as a law enforcement supervisor are required. Some flexibility to adjust work schedule to the program schedule. Evening and weekend work may be required.
This position is available December 2006 with starting salaries ranging between $48,000 to $56,500 annually. College of DuPage offers a generous benefits plan. Screening begins October 2nd.
