Applicants must meet a variety of qualifications, as specified in the Rules and Regulations of the Board and State Statutes, including but not limited to the following: 

• Shall be between the ages of 20 and 35 years of age at the time of application (unless statutorily exempted by 65 ILCS 5/10-2.1-6)

• Associate's degree from an accredited college or university 

• Be a citizen of the U.S. 

• Possess a valid driver's license

• Be in good physical health

• Be of good moral character 

• Have 20/20 corrected vision (eye glasses or contacts may be used to meet the standards) and must be able to distinguish between colors (red, blue, green and yellow)
