POLICE OFFICER

 

 

The Cary Board of Police Commissioners

is accepting applications for Police Officer. 

 

 

Applicants must:

  • Be a United States Citizen

  • Be between 21 and 35 years of age (except as provided by State Statutes)

  • Have a High School Diploma or G.E.D.

 

Salary Information:

  • Starting salary is $44,366.00 with excellent benefits

  • Candidates with previous law enforcement experience, including Illinois State Police Academy or other certified training academies, may be eligible for a starting salary of $50,170.00

  • Current maximum salary is $72,467.00 after four years

There will be a $30.00 non-refundable application fee.  

 

In order to proceed in the testing process, completed applications and other required supporting documents must be received by the Cary Board of Police Commissions, c/o Acting Chief of Police, Edward Fetzer, at the Cary Police Department no later than 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 13, 2010. 

 

 

A brief orientation, physical ability test and a written test are scheduled for Saturday, August 21, 2010, 8:00 a.m. at:

 

Cary Junior High School

2109 Crystal Lake Avenue

Cary, IL 60013

 

 

The application packet will contain information explaining the testing process. 

 

Post-conditional offer process requires successful completion of psychological, polygraph, drug screen, medical examination and background investigation and employment agreement.
