All completed applications and required documents must be returned no later than 5:00PM, Monday, April 14, 2014 to the Burbank City Clerk’s Office.




  • Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or provide documentation of authorization to work in the U.S. legally.

  • At least 21 years and under 35 years of age as of July 01, 2014 (provide copy of Birth Certificate)

  • Must have a valid Drivers License (provide copy)

  • Applicants must also meet one of the following 3 requirements;

    1. Bachelor Degree in Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice with a minimum 2.5 GPA from an accredited college or university by July 01, 2014 (provide transcripts) or

    2. Have been honorably discharged from military service of the United States after having served a minimum of two years active duty and  have earned a minimum of 60 hours of college credit (provide DD214 & transcripts) or

    3. Currently a certified full-time Police Officer in the State of Illinois and meet either one of the above education/military requirements (provide certification). The written portion of the testing will be waived for current full-time certified officers.

  • No conviction for any Felony or crime involving moral turpitude.

  • Must attend a mandatory orientation session on Saturday, May 03, 2014, 8:00AM sharp at the Reavis High School Auditorium, 6034 W 77th Street, Burbank, Illinois

  • The Written and Physical Fitness tests will be held immediately after the Orientation on Saturday, May 03, 2014
