Experienced Firefighter/Paramedic Vacancy

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or its equivalent

• Firefighter II Certification

• Illinois Department of Public Health EMT-P license

• Must be at least 21 years of age to be appointed or no more than 34 years of age at time of application

• Must meet minimum visual acuity standards as well as be able to distinguish red from green for color blindness

• Must pass essential job functions exam, background investigation, oral interview, polygraph and medical exam, including vision

• Must agree to be fingerprinted

• Within one (1) year from probationary appointment agree to live within a 25 mile radius from the intersection of Locust and Main St. in Bloomington, IL 

$44,544.73 annually (3rd year base-$52,734), plus excellent benefits
