an orientation and written examination on

HEADQUARTERS

to establish an eligibility list for the position of Firefighter-Paramedic.

Please park on the west end of the Parking lot behind HEADQUARTERS.

Attendance at the orientation is mandatory and check-in will begin at 9:00 AM.  PICTURE ID REQUIRED. Applicants must meet all requirements of the department on the date of application and no exceptions will be allowed respective to the general requirements listed below.   

General Requirements At Date of

Conditional Employment Offer:

• 30 college credits

• Valid Drivers license

• Must be between the age of 21 years and less than 35 years of age at time of hire unless previous firefighter experience (last 2 years) meeting statutory exceptions of 70 ILCS 705-16.06

• U.S. Citizen or must meet requirements of Illinois Human Rights Act for citizenship status

• Must have a valid CPAT card within 1 year

• Have a State of Illinois Paramedic license

• Have a State of Illinois Firefighter II certification through the Office of the State Fire Marshal

• Must pass all selection and training requirements to be hired

All applications with all required forms must be postmarked or returned during office hours by March 26, 2010 at 17:00 hours with a money order or check (NO CASH) for $50.00 made payable to: Bensenville Fire Protection District No. 2.
