Minimum Requirements: 

• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident

• Be at least 21 years of age and under 35 at the time of application

• Have a High School diploma or equivalent

• Possess a valid Illinois driver’s license

• No felony convictions

• Meet other criteria as established by the Fire and Police Commission

Compensation/Salary:

The salary range for City of Batavia Police Officers is:

• $57,752 (starting salary) to $78,752 after 6 years

• Individuals who have one (1) to two (2) years’ experience, start at the one (1) year base pay of $60,255

• Over two (2) years’ experience start at the two (2) year base pay of $63,670
