BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 21 years of age

• A citizen of the United States

• Currently employed as a FULL-TIME police officer for a minimum of the past two years with the same department; NO EXCEPTIONS OR VARIANCES WILL BE MADE

• Minimum of 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university, or possess an Associate Degree in any field

• Possess a valid driver’s license

• Have at least 20/70 vision correctable to 20/20

• No felony convictions or convictions for certain misdemeanor violations
   

• Full service Municipal Policing

• Enforcement of State and Local Laws

• Prepare written reports on assigned tasks and attend court and testify when necessary

• Community Policing, assist and render aid to citizens, conduct building checks and investigate suspicious persons, vehicles, noises, etc.

• Uniform Patrol, traffic control, motor vehicle assists and traffic crash investigations

• (5-2 5-3) Work Schedule with Shift Rotation every three months

• Successfully participate and pass a yearly physical agility test (Power Test)
   

• STARTING SALARY of $53,749.00, with the opportunity to earn $59,621.00 after successful completion of a Field Training Program, and $79,108.00 after 4 years
