POLICE OFFICER
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
-
At least 21 years of age.
-
Currently employed as a
FULL-TIME police officer for a minimum of the past two years with the same department.
-
Minimum of 60 credit
hours from an accredited college or university, or possess an Associates
Degree in any field.
-
Possess a valid driver’s
license.
-
Have at least 20/70 vision
correctable to 20/20.
-
No felony convictions or
convictions for certain misdemeanor violations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Full service Municipal
Policing
-
Enforcement of State and
Local Laws
-
Prepare written reports on
assigned tasks and attend court and testify when necessary.
-
Community Policing, assist
and render aid to citizens, conduct building checks and investigate suspicious
persons, vehicles, noises, etc.
-
Uniform Patrol, traffic
control, motor vehicle assists and traffic crash investigations.
BENEFITS:

STARTING SALARY of $43,113.00,
with the opportunity to earn $46,950.00 after 6 months, and
$62,294.00 after 4 years.
