Requirements:

• US Citizen,

• Minimum age of 21 at the time of the written examination,

• Maximum of 34 years of age at time of application (except as otherwise provided by Illinois law)

• High school graduate or equivalent,

• At least 60 hours of college credits, and

• Valid driver’s license (requires a valid Illinois driver’s license at date of hire)

• Peace Officer Wellness Evaluation Report (POWER) certification no older than one year at the date of application. POWER Test certification must accompany application. POWER Test offered through NIPSTA.
