The Board of Police Commissioners of the Village of Addison, Illinois is accepting appointment(s) to the position of police officer with the Addison Police Department.

The Board requires all applicants to attend the mandatory orientation - October 8, at 7:00 a.m. at:

Completed applications must be received on the day of orientation, October 8, 2006, along with a copy of the applicant’s social security card, birth certificate, proof of at least 60 college credit hours or an associates degree and, if applicable, Form DD214.

Minimum Requirements:

• Except as otherwise provided by statute, applicants must be at least 21 and less than 35 years of age at the time of their application

• Applicants must possess an associates degree or the equivalent of at least 60 credit hours at an accredited college, university or junior college

A physical aptitude test is also scheduled for Sunday, October 8, 2006 at 8:30 a.m. at Addison Trail High School and Western Illinois University.

The written examination is scheduled for October 8, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Addison Village Hall, One Friendship Plaza, room 1301A, B & C and Western Illinois University.
