Starting Salary: $28.42/hour

CenCom is a multi-agency 9-1-1 communications center that provides public safety communications for six communities and nine agencies. CenCom dispatches police, fire and EMS units to calls for service, using a variety of computer and radio technologies. CenCom has a competitive salary and benefit structure. Applicants must be willing to work shifts, holidays and overtime.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age

• Applicants must have High School Degree or equivalent

• A two (2) year degree in public administration, communications or other related public safety field is preferred

• Applicant must have a minimum of one (1) year experience as a public safety Telecommunicator answering 9-1-1 calls and dispatching police, fire and EMS units

• Applicants current L.E.A.D.S. full access certification

• Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license

• Applicants must be able to type in excess of 30 WPM

• Applicants must be able to multi-task efficiently and under work under pressure
