Security Systems


This will be a home office based position and can be located anywhere in the SE, Mid-Atlantic, NE or Midwest.



Job Functions and Responsibilities:


ACR – Access Control


The ACR is responsible for administering access to cardholders in accordance with this guide. Access credentials MUST be provisioned to include only access to areas necessary to perform the job functions of the credential holder. The ACR is fully responsible for the access they grant to individuals, adding and revoking cards from employees, and reviewing a quarterly audit report that delineates all the access they have granted to their space.



Alarm Management

  • Run weekly alarm report for burglar alarms through Tyco Select.  Identify cause for burglar alarms. If the alarm is a system problem, arrange for repair. If the alarm is due to human error, forward information to local manager and copy Senior VP.

  • Run weekly alarm report to look for failures to open/close and notify SVP, RSD and branch manager of deviations.

  • Update alarm windows for each branch to ensure that the actual opening/closing times are appropriate with the current schedule.

  • Place alarms systems on test as need for monthly alarm testing to be performed by the branches. Requires prior approval from the SVP.

  • Alarm code issuance and deletion in conjunction with new hire and termination notices or in the event a security need requires immediate code deletion.

  • Issuance of temporary alarm codes to non-branch personnel on a restricted basis and upon written/email approval by SVP. Provide email notifications of temporary alarm code issuance to the respective RSD and ensure that temporary alarm codes are deleted upon completion of an employee’s assignment.

  • Respond to all employee termination notices with 48 hours of notification during normal work week schedule

  • Maintain current records on all non-ADT systems.


VCR/DVR Inventory

  • Maintain a current inventory of VCRS/DVRS by branch, to include IP addresses and passwords of each DVR.


DVR Review

  • Ensure that all DVR systems and cameras are functioning properly and the coverage retention period is adequate by conducting on line video reviews of each branch on a monthly basis, scheduling the appropriate number branches each month by territory to ensure that every branch has been reviewed at least once each quarter.

  • Ensure that all HHD are operational and that the required numbers of days are being retained. (Refer to company DVR retention policy).

  • Report any equipment failures and retention issues to the Security Systems Manager. Make proper adjustments as needed.


Special Projects

  • Completes special projects on an as needed basis as assigned by the security system manager and or director of security.

  • Orders and arranges shipment of camera systems, monitors, intercoms, DVR’s along with other related CCTV and other physical security equipment.

  • Perform remote audits on company branches as directed by the security systems manager and or director of security.

  • Complete remote audit forms documenting discrepancies, i.e. video pic’s, ADT alarm reports along with a written explanation for each event.


Weekly Activity Log

  • Maintain and provide a weekly activity log tracking the status of all aforementioned items to the Security Systems manager on a Bi-weekly basis.



  • Provide coding for all vendors invoicing to accounts payable.

  • Maintain electronic filing of all transactions by vendor.



  • Able to meet the Company's hiring criteria.

  • Valid driver’s licenses and must maintain a satisfactory driving record.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite for Windows (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Access).

  • Knowledge of Security/Operations policies/procedures, rules and regulations.

  • Proficiency in oral and written communication in the English language.

  • Multi-task oriented, organized and have the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Able to manipulate computer keyboard to produce and organize data.

  • Familiar with social media sites.

  • Technical Security experience preferred.

  • Travel is required.
