Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, management or related field

• A minimum of seven years of command level experience, including three years of significant management, supervisory and administrative responsibility in a department of 25 full-time commissioned officers is required

• Colorado POST Provisional Certification upon hire, Certification as a Colorado State Law Enforcement Officer must be obtained within six months of hire. 

• A Masters Degree and completion of the FBI National Academy is preferred.
