 Police Lieutenant, City of West Sacramento, CA 

$72,888 - $88,584 annually + excellent benefit package including city paid CalPERS.  There will be a 3% increase scheduled for July 1, 2005.

The City of West Sacramento is located in California's rich Central Valley at the confluence of the American and Sacramento Rivers in eastern Yolo County, and has a population of approximately 31,600. Incorporated in January 1987, the city encompasses approximately 19 square miles with a projected population of 78,000 by the year 2015. The population is multi-ethnic; representing a range of income levels, and reflects a variety of community interests and viewpoints.  West Sacramento is the location of the Port of Sacramento, an inland seaport connected to the San Francisco Bay by a deep-water channel and Raley Field, home of the Sacramento River Cats Triple A Baseball Team. 


This position requires:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 60 college semester units

  • 6 years experience, including 2 years at Sergeant or above

  • Basic, Intermediate & Supervisory POST certificates
