Narcotics Task Force, Investigations Unit, Traffic Unit (Motor Officers & Commercial Enforcement), Community Oriented Policing, Training & Backgrounds, School Resource Officer, Drug Abuse Resistance Education, K-9, Special Weapons & Tactics, Gang Unit, Crisis Negotiation Team, and Equestrian Enforcement. 
 

A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required, and completion of an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is desirable.  Laterals must have Basic P.O.S.T. Certificate or be eligible for certification at the time the application is submitted and must be currently employed as a full-time, non-probationary California Police Officer.  Academy Graduates must be currently enrolled in or have graduated from a P.O.S.T. certified Basic Academy.  For both positions, applicants must possess a current valid Class C California Driver’s License, have a satisfactory driving record and be a U.S. citizen.
