Responsibilities:

• Ensures that the security department and its responsible programs and areas are in compliance with federal, tribal, state, and local laws and regulations.
   

• Develops, implements, analyzes, interprets, and updates departmental policies and procedures.
   

• Directs the security of gaming operations, the property as a whole and external areas. Reports illegal activity on the part of customers/employees.  
   

• Builds and maintains rapport with Augustine Gaming Commission to ensure communication regarding security and surveillance issues.
   

• Serves as contact with other state, federal, and local agencies regarding security issues.
   

• Oversight of internal investigations.
   

• Maintains a balance between "customer service oriented" attitude and "law enforcement" attitude when dealing with guests and promotes this viewpoint among staff members.
   

• Formulation of policies to determine need for programs and coordinate programs with casino activities.
   

• Directs Emergency Management.
   

• Preparing annual budgets, operating forecast, special event forecasts and budgets.
   

• Staffing, continual training and professional development of the security team.
