City of St. Cloud, located 20 minutes south of the Orlando International Airport, is seeking candidates for the position of Police Chief.  Incumbent will be selected by the City Manager.  $4.0 million departmental budget; 40 sworn officers; 26 non-sworn full-time employees; rapidly growing community with traditional services, including police, fire, parks and recreation, water, sewer, treatment plant, refuse collection, and landfill. 

Requires Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) in Police Science, Criminology, Public Administration or related field; or an equivalent combination of practical experience and education.  Graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Academy or the Southern Police Institute Command Officer course; additional requirements specified by the State Police Standards and Training Commission relative to police certification or equivalent combination of training and experience.  Three to five years of experience in an equivalent position.  Valid State Driver’s license.
