3% @ 50 PERS effective May 4, 2003

Qualifications: Must possess or be eligible to possess a California P.O.S.T. Basic Certificate and currently; or within the last 12 months, have been employed for a minimum of 1 year as a California Peace Officer; or currently enrolled in or completed a California P.O.S.T. approved Basic Academy within last 2 years. A California P.O.S.T. Requalification Course Certificate issued within the last 2 years is also qualifying.
