DEPUTY SHERIFF RACINE COUNTY
2003 Racine County Deputy Sheriff Eligibility List. Career opportunities include working on the Road Patrol, Lake Michigan Water Patrol, Court Officer, Conveyance Officer, and Warrant Unit. The Sheriff’s Department also specializes in various areas including the Crisis Negotiation Team, Dive Team, SWAT Team, Metro Drug unit, Snowmobile Patrol, Bike Patrol, Dog Handler, Deputy Friendly, Dare Program. Career development begins by working in the Racine County Jail.
Annual Salary Starting: $33,944 plus overtime opportunities and excellent benefits, including the Wisconsin State Retirement program (100% County paid and allows possible retirement at age 50).
Requirements: Must be a citizen of the United States, at least 21 years of age by the 11/09/02 written examination, have a High School diploma/GED, have either a two year Associate degree from an accredited university, college, or technical school Or a minimum of sixty (60) fully accredited college level credits by 1/13/03, have a valid driver’s license, no felony convictions unless the judgment or conviction has been reversed or a complete pardon granted. Additional qualifications are on file in the HR Department.
Tests: Physical agility test: 10/12/02, written examination: 11/09/02, oral interview: 12/09/02.
