NOTICE
OF EXAMINATION FOR POLICE PATROL OFFICER
FOR
THE VILLAGE OF NEW LENOX POLICE DEPARTMENT
The
Board of Fire and Police Commissioners of the Village of New Lenox, Illinois
will hold competitive examinations on the dates indicated below to provide an
eligibility register for the position of police patrol officer for the New Lenox
Police Department.
The
starting salary for this position, as of May 1, 2002, is $34,437.00. Fringe
benefits include: pension fund, medical insurance, furnished uniforms, paid
vacation, and overtime pay.
The
examination is open to any applicant of good record, who is between 20 and 35
years of age, and meets the requirements of the New Lenox Board of Fire and
Police Commissioners, including:

U.S. Citizen
•
High School Graduate or Equivalent
•
Speak Fluent English
•
Possess a valid driver's license
•
Must be between 20 and 35 years of age (must be 21 years of age at the time of
appointment)
Applicants
must be able to pass written, oral, background, medical, vision, polygraph, and
psychological examinations.
The
entry examination will be conducted in two sessions;
Session
I Orientation
Wednesday, May 8, 2002
7:00 P.M.
Session
II Written
Examination
Saturday, June 1, 2002
9:00 A.M.
Session
I and Session II will be held at the Lincoln-Way High School, Central Campus,
Route 30, New Lenox, IL.
Applicants
must attend Session 1 (Orientation) to be eligible to attend Session II (Written
Exam).

Avenue, New Lenox, IL. For additional information,

5:00 P.M. on Friday, May 3, 2002.
