assignment in a specialized unit.

A
Montgomery County Police Officer is responsible for enforcing statutes, laws and
regulations designed to protect the life and property of the citizens of
Montgomery County. A County Police
Officer is also required to conduct preliminary investigations at the scene of a
crime, administer first aid, gather evidence, obtain witness statements, make
arrests, and testify in court. Eligible
to apply to a specialized unit after two years in the patrol division.
Specialized units include Narcotics, K-9, Conflict Negotiation, Vice
& Intelligence, station detectives, SWAT, DARE, community relations, Repeat
Offenders Section, Robbery, Homicide and Sex, Collision Reconstruction and

Minimum
Qualifications:

Not less than 21 years of age.
•
Associates degree or equivalent (60 college semester hours or 90 college
quarter hours)
•
U.S. Citizen
