The Lakewood Police Department is recruiting until May 2, 2003 for a Recruit Police Academy and Lateral Police Academy. Both Academies begin Tues., Sept. 2, 2003.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline by September 2, 2003; at least 21 years of age by time of appt.; U.S. citizen or authorization to work in U.S.

In addition, the Lateral Agent positions require active Colo. P.O.S.T. Cert. and at least 2 years of patrol exp.

Starting Police Agent salary $1,578.57 bi-weekly. Lateral Agent starting salary is $1,920.27 bi-weekly, with salary adjustments based on exp. Positions include excellent benefits. No residency requirement.
