The City of Kingsville will be administering an
entry-level examination for police officers to create an eligibility list to
fill future vacancies. The eligibility list will be effective until exhausted
but not more than 12 months.
The examination is scheduled for Friday, June
28, 2002, 9:30 a.m. at the Kingsville Recycling Center, 202 W. Lee, Kingsville,
Texas. All successful candidates will be scheduled to take a physical agility
test on the same day, Friday, June 28, 2002 at 2:30 p.m.
Certified Police Officers who meet certain
requirements need not take the entry-level exam. The requirements are as
follows: 1) current TCLEOSE peace officer intermediate certification, 2)
employed or has been employed for at least three (3) continuous years as a law
enforcement officer by a city, county, state or federal law enforcement agency;
and 3) actively worked as a law enforcement officer within the twelve (12) month
period preceding the application.
All positions require the following: 1) High
School diploma or equivalent, 2) possession of a valid Texas driver’s license 3)
satisfactory driving record and 4) proof of citizenship and/or eligibility to
work in the U.S. legally. The successful applicant will be required to take and
pass a pre-employment physical examination, drug screen and background
investigation.
The
