The growing City
of Hermiston, Oregon (population 13,560), is seeking a progressive law
enforcement manager who is dedicated to the principles and values of community
oriented policing and problem solving, and is ready to serve as second in
command. Impressive candidates for this Lieutenant’s position will possess
substantial patrol operations knowledge and experience, as well as demonstrated
effectiveness in working with the community and coaching/mentoring subordinates.
This professional will have proven success as an administrator and will welcome
the opportunity to help lead a progressive and dynamic department supported by
21 sworn and nine civilian personnel.
Located in eastern
Oregon, the City of Hermiston offers an affordable, safe, family-friendly
quality of life. The region hosts an unlimited array of outdoor sporting options
and recreational opportunities complemented by an ideal climate range. In
addition to five years as a commissioned police officer and two years of
supervisory experience, an Associate’s degree is also required for this
position. The salary range is $47,556-$60,497 DOQ and is supplemented by an
attractive benefits package.
