The City of Emeryville is accepting applications for

Lateral Entry, Academy Graduate and Entry Level Police Officer

Must be a citizen of the United States or a permanent resident alien who is eligible for and has applied for citizenship.

Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Must be at least 20 years of age to apply, 21 years by time of appointment.

Must possess a valid California Drivers license with a satisfactory driving record.

Uncorrected vision of at least 20/100 in each eye corrected to 20/20, normal color vision and hearing.

Emeryville is located in the heart of the San Francisco Bay area. While situated in a large metropolitan region, the city retains the charm of a small town.

In addition to basic patrol we have the following specialty units: Traffic, Motors, Mounted Patrol, K-9, Bicycles, Detectives, DARE, School Resource, Evidence Technician and Crisis Negotiators.
