The Village of Arlington Heights population 75,000 has several openings for experienced Police Officer to complement our Police Department.  The Police Department has 83 Sworn Personnel.  Officers work a 6 day on and 3 day off schedule.  Top pay in 4 and ½ years.



• Associate Degree or 60 semester hours of credit from an accredited institution.

• Valid Driver’s License.

• Vision correctable to 20/20 in both eyes.

• Pass medical exam including drug screening.

• Previous status as a certified Police Officer in the State of Illinois for one year after completion of a probationary period.

• Currently in good standing in the police department in which the person serves.

• Possess substantially equivalent skills and abilities as a Village of Arlington Heights Police Officer who has completed the probationary period, as determined by the Village and,

• Taken and passed such examinations as the Commission deems necessary to determine fitness for duty as a police officer.
