Each state's listings begin with the name of the state in caps (i.e. ILLINOIS). You can also go directly to any feature listed in the "TABLE OF CONTENTS" using the "find" command. This is the fastest way to locate specific information. If you are going to browse the entire newsletter, use the "page up" and "page down" keys to navigate, rather than scrolling with the mouse. This will be much easier on your eyes. SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION ___________________________________________________________ THE BLUE LINE: Police Opportunity Monitor Newsletter: No. 118: November 2003 ___________________________________________________________ 1. LETTER FROM THE PUBLISHER Dear Reader, Last month we gave the website a new look and this month it is this newsletter that is getting a bit of reorganization. Two things have changed, first we are beginning to dig a little deeper for Fire Service opportunities than ever before. This will in no way diminish the effort, or space, devoted to Law Enforcement listings, it will only make for more postings at www.theblueline.com and right here in these pages. The second thing we have done is move things around a bit to make some room for the additional listings. You will notice that this month's issue is divided into three sections. The first, and still the largest of them is for Law Enforcement listings, followed by the Fire Service listings in section two and rounded out with a section for Civilian Public Safety jobs. To make more room the Featured Department listings look a little bit different too. The logos are smaller and they will appear once in the front of the section with a cross-reference within that section. Not only does the new layout allow for additional content, but I think you will find it helpful in quickly finding the listings that are the most useful and interesting to you. As always, if you have any feedback on this publication or on our website (www.theblueline.com) I would appreciate hearing it. It is always good to hear positive comments, but many of our changes come as a result of the “constructive criticism” from readers like you. Thank you for your continued support of The Blue Line. Best wishes, Kevin Woodside Publisher 2. FEATURED DEPARTMENTS WESTMINSTER, MARYLAND POLICE DEPARTMENT Police Officer Westminster, City of 56 W.
