For the Position of

Chief of Police

The Village of Hazel Crest, Illinois, a south suburb of Chicago, Illinois, is now accepting applications for the position of Chief of Police.

Interested applicants must:

• Have attained a bachelors degree

• Have at least five (5) years experience in upper management in law enforcement

• Possess superior interpersonal communication abilities and skills

• Be familiar with community policing methodologies

• Have an excellent conceptualization of the role of technology in crime prevention

The salary range is $75,000 to $95,000.

Interested persons should submit a letter of intent, with current salary, along with six (6) references; three (3) business and three (3) personal. A current resume and/or vitae should accompany the letter of intent. The closing date for the receipt of applications is October 1, 2007.
